Guatemala Mural project
On February 7, 2025, I am going with a team from Wellspring Fellowship on a 10-day mission trip to Guatemala. We are working with Proyecto Fe International, an Alaska based organization which partners with Colegio Bethel, a School in San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala.
Our goal will be to impact the lives of students, families, teachers, and the community through building relationships, sharing our faith, and participating in service projects.
My project specifically is to create and paint murals with the students and our team to beautify the school.
For this project I am raising funds for travel, paint, brushes and any other supplies that are needed to complete this project.
Your help, big or small will be greatly appreciated and I will keep you updated on the project and how it develops.
More details are coming soon, when I know how many walls, I am given to complete this project in the short period of time we are there. I will also be meeting and visiting with our child who we are personally sponsoring, Jaqueline, I’m super exited to meet her and her parents.
For now, here a short overview of our upcoming travel time.
Once we arrive in Guatemala City (after 17 hours travel) we will take a 4-hour bus ride down to Panajachel, where we spend another 45 minutes on a boat to San Pedro La Laguna.
This trip will be physically, emotionally, and spiritually demanding. Many families in San Pedro are poor and many of the relationships we build will be with people in extreme poverty. I know this trip will require strength, patience and endurance; therefore, I would greatly appreciate your prayers.
Please pray that:
1. I will be healthy and have supernatural energy on this trip.
2. God will give me wisdom and a servant’s heart for those I serve.
3. Our team will work together as one strengthening each other spiritually
and helping one another physically.
4. That God will protect and guide us during our travels.
